Objective

coordination on counter terrorism policy and programs in the
hemisphere through development of partnerships with international,

Description
|
The CICTE Secretariat serves as a
clearinghouse of information and technical assistance on counter
terrorist policy and programs on behalf of OAS Member States.
To do so, we promote coordination with many international
partners, such as the United Nations (UNCTED, UNODC, UNICRI, UN-LiREC),
the cyber security and maritime committees of APEC, OSCE’s
Anti-Terrorism Unit, IMO, ICAO, Interpol, CARICOM (IMPACS and
COPACS), and the technical agencies of major donors, such as the
U.S. Coast Guard, the Transportation Security Agency and Customs
and Border Protection and the Transportation Security Agency of
the U.S. Department of Homeland Security, the U.S. Department of
Defense, the Anti-Terrorism Assistance program of the U.S.
Department of State, and Transport Canada. A network of
National Points of Contacts from each country serves as a means
of communicating with the Secretariat and one another on
technical issues. |
|
Audience
|

organizations, policy makers in governments and international or
