Aviation Security Crisis Management Training

 CICTE’s Aviation Security program executed two training courses in the month of August. The first was Crisis Management Training in Barbados August 11-21 and Basic Security Training in Dominica August 18-28.  The opening ceremony for the Crisis Management Training in Barbados was addressed by the Honorable John Boyce, Minister of International Transport and Mrs. Mary Ourisman US Ambassador to Barbados among others. At the Opening Ceremony the importance of developing counter-terrorism measures was emphasized with Mrs. Ourisman being quoted as stating “we are only as strong as our weakest link, so therefore we all rely on strong partnerships to achieve the necessary security measures”.

CICTE will continue its capacity building efforts in the area of Aviation Security in the upcoming months, with training programs planned for Argentina, Uruguay, Bahamas, and Belize among others.
