Objective

Build the capacity of Member States to
comply effectively with the CSIRT requirements of the OAS
Comprehensive Inter-American Strategy to Combat Threats to Cyber
Security (AG/RES. 2004 (XXXIV-O/04)). This includes supporting the
establishment of national CSIRTS and the creation of a hemispheric
network. |

Description
|
The program consists of aid to
Member States to help them implement the requirements of the OAS
Cyber Security strategy. The specific areas in CICTE’s mandate
are to establish a network of CSIRTS in the region. In
accordance with the General Assembly Resolution 2004 (XXXXIV-O/04)
and as decided at the Fifth Regular Session of CICTE. Brazil has
offered to conduct this training along with other Member States. |

Audience
|
Government designated national CSIRT
officials in the Member States. Secondary audience includes senior
ministry and private sector individuals with leadership
responsibilities in areas affecting cyber security and critical
infrastructure protection. |
